David Blair has been an attorney in San Francisco for over ten years, mainly practicing criminal defense law. Originally from Washington D.C., he migrated west and attended college at University of California at San Diego, and then went to law school at Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.

David began playing tennis at the age of 6 at free summer clinics, similar to those offered at TennisForKids.org. The clinics were organized by Ms. Walker, a contemporary and practice partner of Althea Gibson. He played junior tennis, college tennis at UC SanDiego and has taught tennis to individuals and groups of all levels. He still plays competitive tournament tennis when time permits.

David wanted to give back to the tennis community by helping kids learn the game, much as he did when he was a child in Washington. TennisForKids.org was the perfect organization to do this. As one of the instructors, he greatly enjoys watching the kids learn, run, smile and enjoy themselves while learning a sport that helps improve the mind, the body, the spirit and social skills.

David currently serves as the organization's General Counsel, and handles the legal and day to day matters of TennisForKids.org. He also currently serves as an instructor and helps out in any way possible.
